Pain Management

Many dental procedures are involved and some, quite frankly may provide a certain level of discomfort (pain). It is not surprising that many patients come to the dental experience with a great deal of anxiety. It is the desire of this office to be successful at the anticipation of any potential onset of pain by taking the steps necessary to prevent any such discomfort and to recognize this eventuality and deal with any subsequent sensation and resultant anxiety that may arise.

Every patient no matter whether he/she shows overt signs of anxiety, or not, will be approached in a manner that is pleasant, calm, confident, and above all addresses concerns for the patients well-being.

Many cases of anxiety arise because the patient is uncertain of what to expect. We will tell you if your experience may involve some level of discomfort and provide the necessary anesthetic procedure to minimize the unpleasant nature. It is better in our opinion to avoid unpleasant surprises during a procedure.

Topical anesthetics are used to alleviate tissue discomfort and to overall patient anxiety. Many topical preparations are available. These Topical anesthetics can be applied with a cotton swab or syringe. Local anesthetics are also used to decrease the sensation during a specific procedure.

Our staff is ready to help you in anyway we can. Your comfort is very important to us. Be sure to tell the assistant or doctor at anytime if you are feeling any discomfort or are experiencing any undesirable anxiety.
